The Brazilian Day Newark is a cultural event to celebrate the Brazilian Independence Day, It is an open air event on Saturday and Sunday, September 3rd and 4th, 2022, the Labor day weekend. The concert stage, vendor tents and carnival is built on the parking lot located at 267 Ferry Street, Newark, NJ 07105.
This is the 28th annual edition of this event, the first after 2 years hiatus because of Covid-19 epidemic. The concerts are free and run all day long. A VIP area have limited tickets to be sold.
The event goes from noon (12 PM) to midnight (12 AM). Early during the day there are children activities, carnival rides (paid), food and drink vendors, and music on the stage. the Artists headliners are Dudu Nobre (Saturday night attraction) and Leo Santana (Sunday night attraction)
The Brazilian Day Newark is possible due partnerships with the City of Newark, the Brazilian Consulate in New York and all sponsors and local clubs, associations, non-profits and small business.
